Conductors of Life: the influence of the mentoring and social network phenomena on executives of a transportation company

The objective of this paper was to analyze how mentoring and social network phenomenon influences the executive development. The research was based in a qualitative perspective and used as methodology the oral life history. It was based in an executive's networking who is a partner and president of a transportation company with national and international actuation. The data analysis technique used was the content analysis and the UCINET 6 software was used to support the networking construction. The current study has concluded that the mentor networking has a positive influence in professional and personal executives development. In general, this study contributed to understand better the mentoring and networking relationships phenomenon in the Brazilian reality.
